Bio-energetic Considerations in Heart Disease: ~Copyright, 2002: G.M. Swartwout, O.D. The 5 Phases of Heart Healing The healing process tends to retrace the steps by which a disease is produced. At each step, patterns and issues that were not fully corrected in the past may resurface and call for attention. Stress is a common beginning point for much of what ails our culture, yet by the time an illness such as heart disease is diagnosed, the consequences of stress have compounded into functional and even structural alterations that take precedence in the healing dance. Remission-Foundation testing protocol for clients with a history of heart problems follows our routine, with the exception of those with pacemakers with whom we do not utilize electro-dermal screening tests. The initial workup typically includes assessment of 5 basic approaches: 1. Chemistry (non-invasive urine and saliva tests provide an objective monitor of health status and progress when needed) 2. Photons (light is the fundamental energy source and communication medium of biological systems) 3. Electrons (the system of meridians and vessels of oriental medicine and European Biological Medicine form a holographic framework for qualitative biofeedback communication with the body electric) 4. Protons (flexibility to adjust the pH regulation system is fundamental to homeostasis and healing) 5. Spirit (as carried by the Bose-Einstein Condensates, Meisner fields and phonons of liquid light of the m-state minerals, and as programmed by our thoughts, intentions and prayers) Let's review each area briefly: The biological terrain of the body is assessed by a chemistry panel of pH regulation, anti-oxidant, key vitamin/mineral, endocrine and digestive indicators. Some key issues affecting heart disease that may arise on this panel include mineral depletion leading to activation of the ammonia buffering system, dysbiosis in the small intestine and cell membrane oxidation products in the urine due to tissue damage. Bio-photon Communication (key stress patterns, organ stresses, causal chain of stress interactions, sequential balancing of the dominant remaining source of stress until a placid state of bio-communication is achieved). Some key bio-photon stress patterns in heart disease are heart organ, heart function, heart rhythm, coronary arteries, diaphragm, duodenum, jejunum, ileum, colon, pancreas (both endocrine and exocrine portions) autonomic nervous system and kidney. In European medicine, it is said that 80% of heart symptoms originate in the gut. Pressure from gas, as well as diffusion of endotoxins can pass through the diaphragm to affect the heart. This common pattern is known as Rhomheld Syndrome. More recent electronic studies reveal that the pancreas is the most common source of heart stress. This would account for the association with downstream causal effects in the gut. The autonomic nervous system carries regulatory signals to the heart, while the kidneys provide a major load on the heart as the high-pressure filter for the blood. Electro-dermal communication allows us to wiretap into the body electric, a holographic representation of the bodys interior found on the surface, similar to the body maps found in the neo-cortex (homunculi), the iris (iridology), the palms and soles (reflexology) and of course the DNA of every cell. Important meridians in relation to heart disease include the Heart meridian, located on the inside of the pinky finger, the Small Intestine meridian (on the opposite side of the same finger), and the Kidney meridian, located on the same part of the foot as the heart is on the hand (a vertical relationship). Specific meridian connections can also influence heart health, such as the wisdom teeth. Dental testing of buccal currents (battery effects due to dissimilar metals) can sometimes add useful information to the clinical picture, especially when high currents are seen in combination with toxic metals like mercury. In the magnetic (proton) realm, inability to eliminate acid wastes from the tissues can result in an overly alkaline blood and alkaline urine. This buildup in the tissues leads to discomfort, dysfunction and ultimately disease. At the opposite extreme, excessive acid in the blood, whether temporary due to a healing crisis (cleansing reaction) or some endogenous or exogenous source of toxicity, can severely limit the availability of oxygen and thus impair energy efficiency, while risking free radical damage to sensitive tissues. Thoughts and emotions frequently play a pivotal role in this area. Recent observations on superconductivity in biological systems, as well as the Nobel Prize-winning laboratory confirmation of Bose-Einstein Condensates are providing some of the breakthroughs in biophysics to help us understand just how powerful we are in co-creating our own health and performance. Phase 1. Energize Energy efficiency is a paramount need for any cell to maintain function, and this is especially apparent in a tissue such as the heart, which never rests. Oxygen is delivered by the left side of the heart to the heart itself, as well as the rest of the body. Constricted arteries may need to be restored to a more normal level of blood flow with such approaches as chelation (e.g. oral chelation such as Elation!), methyl donors (e.g. my favorite Trimethylglycine which is a B vitamin derived from beets), or perhaps natures Calcium Channel Blocker: Magnesium (e.g. the Taurate form is a favorite for the heart, as taurine provides anti-oxidant support for this tissue). Phase 2: Rejuvenate Cellular repair is the essential process in this phase, once energy efficiency is restored with adequate circulation and cellular nutrition. The initial shift from Phase 1 to Phase 2 terrain can be accompanied by a flu-like reaction known as a healing crisis or cleansing reaction. Phase 3: Regenerate Once a cell is healthy and functional, in most tissues it is able to undergo mitosis, forming two healthy cells from one. One surprising example of this was a client who had a long history of mitral valve prolapse. After several years of bio-energetic support tailored by the above methods, this clients cardiologist was amazed to find no signs of the prolapsed valve. He told his patient that if he had not personally been her cardiologist for all those years, he would have presumed that the original diagnosis was incorrect. Unfortunately, tissue regeneration is seen all too infrequently in the conventional medical practice today. Phase 4: Cleanse The connective tissue in which all cells reside is the focus of this phase of extra-cellular detoxification. Typically, the body will demand that this cleansing be processed into a series of manageable cycles. As we learn to trust in this innate intelligence that works so well to keep us breathing and our hearts pumping while we sleep, we can allow ourselves to more fully and freely release the chains of past toxic exposures and enter into a new clarity about our life purposes. Phase 5: Balance The 'final' step in the healing process is unraveling the life stresses and corresponding endocrine mal-adaptation patterns that have resulted. This ultimately restores physiological flexibility and adaptability, paving the way for new, more adaptive thought and behavior patterns as solutions to meet life needs. It is harmonizing ourselves with our cares that provides the foundation for the health of our hearts. Breakthroughs in this arena can take various forms, including physical and psycho-emotional releases, as well as gentle openings and progressive learning processes. Procedures like HeartMath biofeedback and Naka-Ima workshops can help us to initiate profound changes in our experience of self, our communication with others and the ability of our hearts, ultimately, to give and receive love. The Institute for HeartMath is able to quantify emotional signatures as solition waves fractally embedded in the ECG (EKG). Bio-communication with the clients teaches us that each person responds optimally to a unique sequence of remedies. Over time, as the body completes its healing process, these issues clear and the next steps in healing emerge. Bio: G. M.
