Care & Feeding of Your Urine
Specimen
The urine contains a wealth of bio-chemical
information. It is your metabolic diary. All biochemical processes
of your body leave residues that eventually find their way to the
urine. Thus, the urine specimen is ideal for measuring and monitoring
your metabolic health.
For our lab to obtain the clearest information from your urine specimen,
please follow these recommendations for two full days prior to collecting
the urine sample:
__Eliminate all nutritional supplements, unless prescribed by a
physician.
__Eliminate gum and breath mints.
__Eliminate eating your known allergenic foods. Eliminate artificial
food colorings.
__ Eliminate artificial sweeteners, sweets of all kinds, and sugar.
Eliminate the use of alcohol.
__ Reduce the use of laxatives & bulking agents, unless prescribed
by a physician. Reduce the use of salt.
__ Reduce meat, fish, dairy products, and protein supplements.
__ Reduce the use of beets & carrots.
__ Reduce the use of adulterated and processed foods. Eat foods
in their natural form. Drink 6 glasses of water daily.
Collecting Urine Specimen: Drink recommended quantity of water for
two days prior to catching urine specimen. Use only the sanitized
specimen cup provided by our office.
Catch only first morning's voiding (after 3:00 a.m.), the day of
your appointment. Wait until mid-stream to catch the sample. Fill
the specimen cup to at least 1/2 full.
Screw the container cap firmly in place to avoid leakage.
Transporting Urine Specimen: refrigerate the specimen until time
to come to our office.
Do not allow the urine to sit at room temperature for more than
30 minutes. If transport time is more than 30 minutes, keep in a
cool container until arrival at our office.
Getting the most out of your Biofield
Analysis:
Your Biofield Analysis will help you evaluate
the status of your body energy systems. Depending upon your health
situation, you will want to prepare in slightly different ways for
your test.
Bring all your current supplements and medications with you. If
you wish, we will use as many of your own supplements as possible
in designing your health program.
Feel free to bring additional supplements with you that you think
or hope may be helpful, even if you have not started using them.
Most health food stores are willing to take back sealed products
that you have purchased for your health care provider to test for
you.
Continue taking any supplements that you know you need to take to
prevent the onset of severe symptoms. If you are not bringing a
urine sample, you may continue taking any supplements prescribed
by other health care practitioners if you plan to continue their
therapy. Discontinue the use of all optional or questionable products
for 24 to 48 hours before the test, so that we can most clearly
define your bodys response to them at this time.
Bring any prescription or over-the-counter drugs you use, whether
regularly or occasionally. Continue taking the prescription drugs
you need on your regular schedule. Try to minimize or avoid the
use of any optional medications for at least 24 to 48 hours before
the test.
You may wish to bring health-related and personal care items such
as deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, tooth paste, laundry soap, skin
care products, etc. We can test the bio-compatibility of the products
you currently use. A water sample in a well cleaned and rinsed jar
(or a bottled water in its original container) is also appropriate
for testing, so long as you cover it with plastic wrap to avoid
contact with the inside of the lid. Please also ensure that any
liquids are not able to leak. Enclose all oily bottles, food samples
or potential allergen samples (e.g. house dust or animal dander)
in clear plastic bags with secure zip-lock closure.
Please take a bath or shower the morning of your test as we will
be doing electro-dermal testing on your fingers and toes. Do not
apply any creams or ointments to these areas, as this can interfere
with meridian measurements. Only use skin care products on other
areas that are essential to preventing serious symptoms.
Please call us at 808-935-5086 if you have additional questions
before the time of your appointment.
