What are: Biofields? In the past 100+ years, humans have begun to use a tremendous amount of electromagnetic energy. The physical effects of this cultural development can be measured even to the outermost layers of the atmosphere. The most important effects, however, are closer to home. The human body is a functioning electromagnetic system in itself. The human body has evolved to utilize the natural spectrum of electromagnetic energies in its regulatory processes. The fields superimposed on this design of nature are often many thousands of times more powerful than those generated by the body itself. Clearly there is a need for greater understanding of both the natural order of electromagnetism in the life process and of the effects of induced electromagnetic disturbances. This understanding can best be gained by research. Research has too often been relegated to the few and too often performed in a limited context. The results of such research have limited application to the real problems of humanity: the achievement of excellence in mind, body and spirit. As a foundation for understanding the scope of the issues involved in electromagnetic energy in the life process, the Electromagnetic Frequency Spectrum is presented broadly in table form below. In order to facilitate comparisons, all benchmarks have been converted into frequencies in Hertz, or cycles per second. The following list shows the conversions which interrelate time, space, mass, electric charge and energy. Equivalence: Time = Space = Mass = Electrical-Charge = Electromagnetic-Energy = Oscillatory-Frequency Charge = Mass: p+ or e- = 1.6 x 10-19 coulomb = 9.1 x 10-28 gram Every electron carries a quantum of negative charge, while every proton carries a quantum positive charge. Each quantum charge of 1.6 x 10-19 coulomb (coulombs = amps x seconds) is a mass of 9.1 x 10-28 gram. Thus electrical charge is a form of mass. Mass = Energy: E = m c^2 Albert Einstein's (1879-1955) famous equation E=mc^2 means that Energy (joules) equals Mass (grams) times the speed of light (c), squared, or times itself. The speed of light is generally presumed to be a universal constant of 3 x 108 meters/second. However, historical evidence indicates that this value may be decreasing exponentially, pointing to a past asymptotic infinitude at the moment of creation. In either case, at this time, every gram of matter is 9 x 1013 joules, or a 60,000 gram human body is a manifestation of 5.4 x 1018 joules of quantum energy. Energy = Frequency: E = h n According to Planck's radiation equation, E=hn, or Energy (joules) = h (Planck's constant) x Frequency (Hz). Planck's universal constant, h = 6.63 x 10-31 gram-meter2 per second, which converts quantum oscillatory frequency directly to its equivalent quantum energy. Max Planck (1858-1947) laid the foundations of modern quantum physics in his studies of electromagnetic radiation. He received the Nobel Prize in physics in 1918 for discovery of the elemental quantum. Frequency = Time: n-1 = 1 / Hertz n-1 = 1/frequency (Hertz) = period of oscillation (seconds), thus frequency is the inverse of period of time it takes for a complete waveform to pass a point in space. In other words, the frequency of an oscillation is the number of waves passing an observer per second. Hertz (Hz), the unit for frequency, is named after Heinrich Hertz (1857-1894) whose electromagnetic research confirmed Maxwell's predictions of electromagnetic waves. Time = Space: l = c (period) = c / n l = Wavelength of oscillation (meters) = c (speed of light = 3 x 108 meters/second) x period (seconds). Thus time and space are interchangeable in relativity theory, according to the perspective of observation. All of these equivalences are real and point to the unity of existence. For example, when a positive charge (positron) and a negative charge (electron) collide, they are transformed into two gamma rays of pure electromagnetic energy with no mass. When reviewing the table below, it is important to keep in mind that in addition to direct interference effects within the same frequency range, harmonic effects also occur. This means that there is a potential for interaction from any part of the spectrum to any other part if two frequencies are related through multiplication by a whole integer, and if adequate energy is present. It is as though the entire fabric of the universe itself is a giant communications switchboard. Communication through this switchboard is especially effective for coherent, or in-phase oscillations such as those from electronic devices, lasers and the photons emitted by biological systems. Underlying the whole number relationships of harmonic interference is the quantum nature of electromagnetic energy. The energy present in a single quantum of an electromagnetic oscillation is equal to its frequency times Planck's constant. Thus the following table might just as accurately be labeled Electromagnetism Energy Spectrum. This concept is foundational to understanding life energy, which is precisely electromagnetic energy. As the chart above shows, all physical measurements can be related back to the fundamental measurements of space, time, energy or mass, and electric charge. These in turn can be expressed as a frequency of electromagnetic oscillation. This is the one thing of existence, the beating of angels wings.Hz stands for Hertz, which is the frequency or number of oscillations of the carrier wave per second. Additional information is carried by this wave depending upon how it is modulated, e.g. producing a characteristic waveform of the substance or system emitting the oscillation. Creation:

Electromagnetic Nature of All Biochemical Interactions: All biochemical processes involve a transfer of quantum electromagnetic energy. A general formula for a biochemical interaction is outlined here. Enzyme A + vitamin cofactor B + mineral cofactor C + substrate D (containing photon energy E) + substrate F under conditions: magnetic factor (pH) of G and electrical factor (redox potential) of H transforms into: enzyme A + vitamin cofactor B + mineral cofactor C + substrate D' + substrate F' (now containing photon energy E). Notice that the molecules D and F are now chemically transformed into D� and F�, but that this transformation of molecular characteristics on the chemical level is merely a manifestation of the transfer of a photon on the energetic or subatomic scale. It is the cofactor vitamins and minerals, which give the necessary specific frequency affinities to the enzyme for facilitating transfer of specific photon energies. The function of the protein structure of the enzyme itself is to maintain necessary spatial configuration of these energy resonators. Thus the enzyme is like the housing of a miniature laser, while the cofactors are like the resonating chamber inside which is designed to produce coherent light of a certain frequency. This laser-like action of catalysts extends beyond enzymes to include neurotransmitters, intracellular messengers, hormones and other information transmitting molecules. It has been shown, for example, that the h essage to the insulin receptor on the cell membrane without ever coming into physical contact. This can only be explained by understanding the function of photons of electromagnetic energy in carrying information signals. We all utilize this concept daily with radio, TV, remote controls, radar and satellite communications. We simply have not conceptualized this profound principle in the realm of the life sciences. The implications of the electromagnetic, energetic, or photonic paradigm are vast. Bio-photon energetics and communications offer an integrated and largely untapped approach to the solution of many of the critical problems faced by our culture today. This paradigm is also the only one compatible with both the latest understandings from science and the full range of human cultural knowledge proven useful over the millenia. Bio-electromagnetic research is life energy research. The First Law of Thermodynamics states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, although it can be transformed. You can literally take charge of your own energetic transformation. An objective scientific system of measuring life energy based on the Second Law of Thermodynamics was developed in France by Professor Vincent. It is called Bio-Electronics of Vincent, or BEV . The total life energy in a given body fluid or tissue may be quantified by the Nernst equation simply by knowing the values of two factors. These are the electrical factor or oxidation reduction potential and the magnetic factor or acidity. A third factor, the dielectrical factor, electrical conductivity or total ion concentration provides additional quantification of the energetic state of biological fluids. The Nernst Equation, based on the Second Law of Thermodynamics, may be written: E = (R T / 2 F) log (2 H+ / H2)or:E = (R T / 2 F) (rH2 - 2 pH) and at a physiological temperature of 303� K (30� C): E = 0.03 (rH2 � 2 pH) where: E = Biological Energy potential relative to a hydrogen electrode as reference R = the universal gas constant = 8.314 joule/mole K� T = the absolute temperature in degrees Kelvin (K�) F = the amount of charge per monovalent ion-gram = 96,500 coulombs H+ = hydrogen positive ion concentration, mostly in the hydrated form of hydronium (H30+) in aqueous media H2 = concentration of molecular hydrogen which is composed of two electrons and two protons. This can be written as the reversible oxidation-reduction reaction: H2 = 2 (H+) + 2 (e-), where e- indicates an electron. pH = the proton potential or acidity = the logarithm of the H+ concentration. rH2 = the electron potential or Hydrogen potential = the logarithm of the H2 concentration. The scale of rH2 ranges from 0 to 42, with a balance of oxidation and reduction at 28. A value over 28 represents an oxidized state with a deficiency of electrons, while under 28 is chemically reduced by an abundance of electrons. This is the electrical factor, which can also be measured as ORP = Oxidation-Reduction-Potential , where:rH2 = 2 pH + (ORP / 30) or:ORP = 30 (rH2 � 2 pH) The overall biological Energy Factor can be summarized in microWatts (uW): uW = (30 (rH2 � 2 pH))2 / r or:uW = ORP2 / r Where: r = the resistivity or resistance to the flow of electrical current through the fluid, measured in ohms (greek letter omega) which is inversely proportional to the ionization of mineral salts and other charged particles in solution. The energy of ionization in turn is a direct measure of the photon energy carried by the shift in electron orbitals in the formation of these ions. Typical veinous blood values, indicating toxic load (pH), positive ion pollution (rH) and ion balance, aging, pathology or demineralization (r):
BEV (balancing) and antioxidant (rejuvenating) waters are beneficial. The simplest way to begin to comprehend the meanings of these fundamental parameters of the body's electromagnetic milieu is to graph the electrical and magnetic factors, as shown below. (see graph in print version) The following graph shows several representative health conditions plotted within the electromagnetism milieu outlined in the graph above. Vincent, who developed this understanding, was charged studying the safety of the drinking waters of France. His studies of the epidemiology show clusters of different diseases in communities with different sources of drinking water. When he measured the fundamental energetic, or electromagnetic, parameters of waters, he discovered them to be highly correlated with the specific diseases endemic in the various communities. This made sense, because not only did each different type aqueous terrain support very different flora and carry different minerals, but, also the human body is largely composed of this water, and so it would develop the same supportive terrain to host the same pathological agents as the drinking water. Essentially, the precondition necessary for the initiation of disease is that electromagnetic terrain of the target tissue is a suitable medium for the specific microorganism or metabolic dysfunction to become dominant. It has long been noted that different diseases are often mutually exclusive within the same tissue at the same time. Thus an individual with a chronic condition, such as cancer, may not get cold and flu symptoms despite frequent exposure. Also, an acute condition, when contracted, may temporarily be accompanied by relief of some chronic disease symptoms. To fully understand this phenomenon, it is necessary first to be aware of the factor of predisposition by way of the electromagnetic terrain. Yet, this alone could allow more than one disease to produce symptoms simultaneously within the same tissue. The second critical understanding is to perceive the disease symptoms as the result of the body's homeostatic responses to the highest priority imbalances in the physiology of its tissues. It is this prioritization and consequent martialing of response to the most critical insult at each moment which leads to the ultimate exclusivity of symptomatology. It is this same functional prioritization which can be assessed through a variety bio-electromagnetism related systems of functional medicine, in order to discover the support system requirements for the individual healing process in the immediate context. In the next section, the multitude of clinically important natural electromagnetic fields which impact upon the body's electromagnetic milieu, will be outlined, followed by a section on newer technology-related fields. |
