He is a pioneer in natural vision and
health care, like his father, J. Baxter Swartwout, O.D., F.A.A.O.,
F.C.O.V.D. before him. His mother was an R.N. devoted to nutritional
and environmental health since the 1950's.
He was blessed with an upbringing that
emphasized the natural approach to health and medicine taught
by his family physician, Schuyler McCoulloch Martin, M.D., in
honor of whom he received his middle name.
Having worked for 20 years with Steinmetz
and other top electromagnetic and bio-energetic researchers
in the era of Royal Rife, Dr. Martin
was truly a holistic clinician in his day and a pioneer in energy
medicine. In the 1950’s he taught Dorothy, an R.N. and
Baxter, an O.D., who helped to establish the field of developmental
optometry, about the dietary and lifestyle risk factors that
only 30 years later began to enjoy broad acceptance in health
care.
Dr. Martin saved the life of Baxter's
mother following severe DDT poisoning by applying nutrition
and energy medicine. We follow in the footsteps of Dr. Martin,
who spent 20 years researching vitamin metabolism and helped
establish the energetics of healing. Dr. Martin was clearly
ahead of his time. Our service to our fellow souls is offered
with appreciation for the influences of Dr. Martin as well as
our families.

The "wizard of eyez" has a
wealth of experience in the healing arts. He graduated Magna
Cum Laude from Dartmouth College with honors in both chemistry
and environmental science and received his Doctor of Optometry
(OD) degree at the head of his class in 1982 from SUNY College
of Optometry. His post-graduate interests and training have
spanned the fields of Nutrition, Homeopathy and Biological Medicine,
with additional degrees, fellowships and certifications.
In 1986, he served on the Medical Advisory
Board for a major network marketing company. He has also served
on the staff of National College of Naturopathic Medicine in
Oregon. He is a contributor to Alternative Medicine and IBIS
software for health practitioners. He is author of Electromagnetic
Pollution Solutions and Biofields: The New Physics of Health
and co-author of Natural Eye Care: An Encyclopedia.
As founder of the Remission-Foundation,
he is continuously researching exciting new products as well
as testing the energetic quality of each existing product for
biocompatibility and effectiveness with electrophysical and
bio-energetic protocols.
